huddl are excited to host a special workshop with Dr Jo Cribb, an experienced board director, consultant, strategist and author. Jo is passionate about increasing the impact of the non-profit sector.
The Foundations of Good Governance workshop is an applied, practical session covering the following topics:
- what is governance and how it differs from management and operations
- your duties as a director
- how not-for-profit community boards add value: the four key functions
- what great not-for-profit community boards do (and don't do)

About Dr Jo Cribb
Jo is an experienced director whose current roles include the New Zealand
Winegrowers Inc., New Zealand Media Council, and the Wellington Homeless
Women's Trust. As a consultant, trainer and facilitator, she has worked with
hundreds of boards in the not-for-profit sector, regularly facilitates for the
Institute of Directors and was recognised for her leadership with the
Not-for-Profit Governance Leader Award from Women in Governance in
2021. She developed the Good Governance Code for Community Governance
Aotearoa, completed a Winston Churchill Fellowship on how to best develop
volunteer board members in 2021 and was appointed as a Fellow of the
Institute of Directors in 2022.
