Join us for a workshop designed to equip aspiring, new, and experienced chairs with essential skills to lead effectively. Delivered in an engaging and practical format, the session focuses on the unique challenges and opportunities of chairing in today’s governance landscape.

The workshop will cover:

  • Understanding the Role of the Chair: Key responsibilities, legal obligations, and setting the tone for governance.
  • Effective Meeting Leadership: Managing agendas, ensuring productive discussions, and driving decision-making.
  • Fostering Strong Board Dynamics: Building collaboration, managing conflicts, and maintaining accountability.
  • Strategic Oversight: Balancing governance and management, with a focus on leading with purpose.
  • Practical Tools for Chairs: Tips and strategies for building confidence and enhancing board performance.

Facilitated by governance and leadership specialist Giselle McLachlan, Founder of Grounded Governance, this workshop will provide valuable learning and actionable takeaways to help you feel more confident and better equipped in your chair role.
